It’s that time of year again! Time for some inspiration for what to wear for fall family photos! Pin it, share it, tuck it away for our next session, or just ogle and enjoy!
This year’s what to wear was designed for those laid back, outdoorsy families. I call it lumberjack style a la Kim {is anyone else suddenly hungry for some general tso’s?}. Nothing says winter more than plaid, knits, and boots and this ensemble would look perfect against a background of evergreens.
I love putting these what to wear ensembles together because they show how to make your style shine in your family photos. The days of matching white shirts and jeans are over, it’s all about personal style. Embrace it! This family loves the outdoors. They go hiking, possibly live on or near a lake, and have campfires all year round. They are perfect for a lifestyle family session, outdoors in their element.
Now that you’re ready to get started, here’s a quick tip: The success of this family ensemble is all about layering. Layering is important for any style and can be sweaters, hats, scarves, jewelry, blankets…really anything to add that extra pop to your photos. For this family, I chose knits because they’re cozy and they add a great texture that polishes the look perfectly.
This year’s outfits were created using clothes that you can buy online and almost all are under $100 {woot!}. Don’t believe me? Just click on the image and see for yourself.
