I specialize in fine art family lifestyle photography. So what exactly does that mean? Fine art photography is photography meant to be displayed as art, like you would a painting and lifestyle photography is a style of portrait photography which aims to capture and document real-life events, situations, or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday.

It’s not every day that you meet a family like the S family. Yes, dad sports a mohawk and both he and mom have purple hair, so I was quick to think they would want an urban session to match their edgy look. But then I received their client questionnaire responses and discovered a more romantic, affectionate, softness to their style and I started dreaming up the fine art images we would create.

The morning of their session was hands-down THE most perfect sunrise I have ever seen. It was as if everyone in the world was still asleep and all the pinks and oranges and yellows were there just for us.

Sandi + Terry – You are seriously COOL parents. My favorite moments were watching your reactions to your children and your appreciation for life, even in its smallest moments.
