This downtown Raleigh family photo session was months in the making. Sterling knew she wanted a very special photo session for her family so she did what many of us do when we look for inspiration, go on Pinterest. And that’s where she found me.
Before she booked her session, we met up for coffee to get to know each other, chat about why she was doing the session, what she plans to do with the photos afterwards, and start talking about wardrobe and locations. Sterling told me that she was celebrating her 10 year anniversary and a beautiful, natural photo of her and her husband was really important. I loved that. And when she told me that she was thinking of wearing a long sequin gown, the idea for this first photo was formed.
We talked about doing the photo session in a field, a very different vibe. But ultimately, we both agreed that doing the session in downtown Raleigh was more of what she was going for. This session was as fun to photograph as it was glamorous and beautiful.
